Jessica Omija Korpela is a doctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki with a background in pharmacy, consulting and global health research. Her doctoral research focuses on the intersection of antibiotic use, social inequalities, and antimicrobial resistance within the Resilient and Just Systems (RESET) research environment. In the past, she has worked on research on decolonisation in global health education, involving 11 Nordic institutions, health economics and outcomes research, and demand forecasting of medications in the Finnish context. Jessica is also passionate about philanthropy and healthcare access, and is actively involved in nonprofit projects dedicated to serving vulnerable communities, particularly in her home country of Kenya.
